Babatunde "Tunde" Ridley
Tunde is a three-time All-American in
track from the University of Illinois. He was one of the most
accomplished track and field athletes to come out of Illinois competing
in the 60 meters, 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, and long jump. He
was a three-time Big Ten Conference Track & Field Champion, three-time
All-Big Ten Honors and a 26-time individual Big Ten place winner. Tunde went on to receive his
Bachelors and Master Degrees from the University of Illinois.Tunde's study of athletic
performance enhancement has taken him across the country. He has entered
into the world of sport performance training by studying under some of
the world's top performance enhancement coaches. His aptitude,
experience and knowledge give Tunde a unique perspective beyond what the
typical speed development and performance training coach has.
Karen Guerin
Karen Guerin,
MPT has over 12 years of clinical expertise in evaluating, treating and
preventing orthopedic injuries. She received her Bachelor of Science in
Exercise Science from The University of Southern California in 1992 and
her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Washington University
School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri in 1994. She has worked
throughout California in orthopedic physical therapy settings focusing
on the movement patterns of athletes and their relationship to injury.
Over the years, she has helped numerous athletes return to their given
sport without pain and with the knowledge of how to prevent further
injury. She has worked with coaches, athletic trainers, personal
trainers, and athletes to enhance sport specific injury prevention and
strength training. Karen is a former US National Swimming Team Member,
a three-time Olympic Trials qualifier, and an Academic All-American at
USC. She participates in US Master's Swimming and was the 2005 Long
Course National Champion in the 1500 meter freestyle and runner up at
the 5 mile open water championship in her age group. Karen currently
works for North County Water and Sports Therapy in the Carmel Mountain
area of San Diego. She is excited to share her knowledge with the staff
and athletes of Going Vertical San Diego to help them achieve their
athletic goals.
